How DNS Works

DNS is a three step process

1. Resolving Name Server
2. Root DNS Server
3. TLD(Top Level Domain) Name Server (.com, .in, gov etc)
4. Authoratative Name Server -> Primarly gives the IP

Step 1: Install Java

sudo apt-get install default-jre

This document explains how to setup a Node project with required pre requiest for Express, Bootstrap and Handle bars.

Step 1: Install Node JS

Step 2: Setup Node JS cache and npm

Step 3: Create project folder in our case

Changing default node js init folder and cache folder

The node js add a global folder as a default loading of apps

Default location is
npm : C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\npm
npm-cache: C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\npm-cache

You can change that to your own location as below command

Step 1: Open Command prompt with Administrator rights

Step 2: Execute the below command
npm config set prefix "C:\node\npm"
npm config set cache "C:\node\npm-cache"

Step 3: Make sure you have that folder created before running any npm command

Eclipse Throwing Errors running builder 'JavaScript Validator' on project

I have came across the Javascript validation throwing error everytime when i save any file in the project.

Below is the one to fix it.

Project -> Preferences -> builders -> you should see the Javascript Validator, you need to disable it..

Thats it... you are done.

Converting xml to xsd

I have been working on JAXB project and lots of time i come across converting the xml to XSD, I have found a few interesting sites which does that pretty simple on online.

Interesting facts of India:
A bunch of college students has not been FIR'ed even for burning a Indian flag in the Indian soil for unjust reasons.

A bunch Terrorist(Kasab, Afsal Guru, etc) who committed killing of 100's of innocent Indians has been kept alive in India even after every India asked to hang him. Saying they have to be given rights to defend themselves because this is a democratic process.

I can extend this list for a long, but in indent to keep it short.

Two small little girls, has been arrested because of registering her thoughts in a very democratic way. Thank god, Media got into the act and stopped aggression against her.

How to Change HOST file in Windows 7

Windows 7 and Windows Vista wont allow you to change the system specific files. But we do have one work around to change those files.

In this example we are going to see how to change the system specific file "host" which is present in the C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\

1. Click the Start menu

2. Click All Programs

3. Click Accessories

4. Right Click on "Notepad"

5. Select "Run as Administrator"

6. Open the host file and now you are done and you can change the file content.

Integrating Apache HTTPD Server with Tomcat

Integrating the Apache HTTPD Server and Tomcat is common these days and i thought of sharing the step by step of how to do with the online community.

Step 1:

Download Apache 2.2.X from Apache Web Site:

Step 2:

Download Apache Tomcat 7.X from Apache Web Site

http://tomcat.apache.org/download-70.cgi#7.0.23

Step 3:

Download MOD_JK Connector from Apache Web Site:

http://www.apache.org/dist/tomcat/tomcat-connectors/jk/binaries/windows/tomcat-connectors-1.2.32-windows-i386-httpd-2.2.x.zip

With the above said steps Download is complete

Step 4:

Install Apache HTTPD Server and Apache tomcat in Windows Maching

Step 5:

Unzip the Mod_JK file and rename the .so file to mod_jk.so

Step 6:
Save the renamed mod_jk.so file into /modules/


Step 7:
Load the MOD_JK Module /conf/httpd.conf file

iCloud - No need to have PC or MAC if you want to buy IPhone or IPod or IPad

Hello Guys,

This is one of the very busy announcement made by Apple. I am really exited to see how this iPod and iPhone and iPad work over the Air without the need to having a PC between them.

Looks like iCloud will replace the PC for syncing the Apple Post PC Devices and MAC as well. iCloud has been integrated to the below applications
1. App Store - Sync and download applications between every devices.
2. iTunes - Sync the music between devices
3. iBook - Sync the Books purchased between devices
4. Contacts - Sync the Contacts between devices
5. Mail - Sync the Mail and calendar between devices
6. Messaging - Sync the message between devices
7. Documents - sync the documents between devices
8. Camera - Sync the Photos between devices

Almost all the data is getting synced every now and then we have new changes in those. One more interesting topic, they are taking backup everyday.

From this fall, the next generation technology will be available in all the apple devices to face the challenge of the new Future.

How to Change the Java Version in the Eclipse.

Lots of time, peoples faces some issue while configuring the Maven in the Eclipse, stating, Eclipse is running in the JRE now in JDK and the mavin needs to have JDK Configured so that i can do its job just fine.

We need to understand that Eclipse will use the JDK settings only for the projects which it uses. but for the plugins it does not set the JDK property for them. It simply gives the JRE on what it runs.

To make the Eclipse to run in the JDK instead of JRE is specified below.

Step 1: Go to the Eclipse home directory and search for the file eclipse.ini.
Step 2: Edit the file using notepad or Text-pad or any Word processor.
Step 3: Add the below lines in between the Configuration

-vm
C:\Java\jdk1.6.0_25\bin\javaw.exe

Step 4: Restart the Eclipse and now you are done making the Eclipse to run in the JDK instead of JRE

My IPhone 4 Review

IPhone 4 - White - Released in INDIA on 27th May 2011.

That was a wonderful day i was walking on the bangalore road and found the Airtel Showroom, selling IPhone 4. I Just waked in and got one without second thought. You know what "I Believe now, i made a Right decision"

Below are the few things i was amazed about.

1. Design: Well i don't need to say much about it. The World knows this is one of the wonderful design ever available today in the Planet. But i love the precision of what it was made, i have never seen any consumer device which was build like this precision. My hands love to hold it. Thanks to "Apple" especially Steve Jobs

2: Camera: Guys believe me, This is the superior camera ever available in any mobile device. I would say this is even superior to a small shot camera available in the market. I have Kodak 10 Mpx camera, you know what? this thing in the IPhone is superior that Kodak i have. I love the "HDR" feature available in this IPhone, that is truly "Amazing and Mind blowing"

3: Display: The display in the IPhone is "Magnificent" you need to see it to believe it, Such a huge density of pixels per inch 330+ pixes per inch. this is not one of the best thing available in the market, this is the one which can never be compared with any other screen available in the mobile world today even IPhone 3GS. Especially, when i want to read my mails which has a most tiny text, i can read it even without me wearing my specs which i normally wear (my power is -1.5 in each eyes). The text are soooo crisp and it is very easy to read keeping my iphone 2 to 3 feet away from my eyes and still i can read those tiny text easily without straining my eyes. "Mind blowing screen".

4. Revolutionary UI: Yes, this IOS 4.3.3 is truly delivers a great user experience to the consumers. the Multi touch and Applications are great and easy to work with. I am really exited to experience the IOS 4.3.3. Now i believe this IOS is the most sophisticated Mobile Operating system available today.

Well i can go on and on. But if you are a Technology geek, this is the one device you will love to play with.

Finally "ANTENNA" i want to tell one things i experienced about the "Death Grip" the "Antennagate", you know one thing, yes, it does happen in relatively less and weak signal, I tried to hold my IPhone in one dead corner of my hall and it happen to lose the signal, well to be frank that even happens to my Nokia Xpress music too ( it got down to 1 bar from 5 bars) . I don't think i will go and stand in that corner of my hall and speak to anyone. But that is not a problem until i get one call drop, I will let the viewers know once i got any call drop or when I was been disconnected from the network.

Apart from that where ever i speak on the road, on the Underground parking area inside my car and every where, the Antenna in the IPhone 4 just works perfect.

Joined in a new company

I have joined in a new company from the 2nd of this may. Well need some more time to explore more about this new organization and i am really thrilled to be a part of it now. Enjoying the begining days here, so that i dont feel bad once i got into the project and if it turned out to be hectic...
